This series is incredible. The only thing I don't like is that I can't binge read until the end because the books haven't all been written yet. This series is as good as Jennifer Foehner Wells' Confluence series, and I'm so glad I found it.Authors often struggle with pacing, or splitting the story where they tell two stories at the same time switching off chapters, or characters who are poorly written and have no depth, mysteries that are too narrow when you want something big, galactic, and grandiose.Here, it's like the author knows exactly when you're about to get a little bored and immediately jolts you into action, discovery, etc. The characters are cool - the less character is a lot like a more irreverent version of the captain on Firefly, and you really chuckle at him and like him ("If not for her scowl she would've been beautiful. (break) Ok, with the scowl."). And then there's Sigmund who's really a charming character.I can't wait to find out what happens next.PLEASE GIVE US MORE!!I can't believe the next book's set for September 2018? This one just came out in July, but he said it would hit in July in book 6 and it happened. I don't know how you do that but I'm just going to shut up and be grateful.(Don't write to death, J.N. Chaney! We love you! Also... could you never end this series and write even more than 10 books? Really a highlight of any month for me when another title hits! Been reading them aloud to my wife since the audible versions ran out lol).

Oh man this has been a great series so far. Thank you JN for a series that continually moves forward. The new stories, exploring different parts of the Renegade universe, are also well thought out and a fun read. OK, now for the header...the series reminds me of the short paperbacks series I read as a kid, Think, Allen Dean Foster, Andre Norton, Anne MacCaffrey and Piers Anthony. An Engaging, deep and well thought out world (galaxy, universe, lets be honest, think big AIR), Lots of characters, lots of stories to explore and the author is working to publish short novels at a low price frequently. This is like having that good paperback in the back pocket of your jeans and getting busted for "wasting time reading that junk". Only, it's on my Kindle, in my back pocket, so I can read it in the rain, or the snow or the shower. The stories are always sticking to the positive although the Eternals and Celestials are going to be interesting (think wraith/human/replicator from SG:Atlantis). Ladies and Gentlemen, Children of all ages, come explore, imagine; stories of wickedness, betrayals, brave deeds, love, glory and, gasp, redemption! Get 'em all, enjoy the Renegade world.

Whether or not you are a J.N. Chaney fan already, you will thoroughly enjoy the beginning of this new arc in the Renegade Series Universe. It picks up where the previous series left off and introduces us to some very new and unique challenges for the crew. New readers can pick the story up here, but if they are like me, they will be motivated to read the full series from the beginning. There are a fair number of books in the series so far, but if you have peeked in on the Renegade Readers Group on Facebook, you will know that once started you will not be able to put these books down.Great Writing and Excellent Introduction to the New Arc! The journey of jace and everyone on his team has been pretty epic so far..... and then they get to earth. Whilst each and every other book stood alone as a good story, this one really didn’t go anywhere. It really just feels like the first third of a book where they’re setting up the story arc... and then the book ends. Honestly this whole thing could have been condensed down more and the author should have just waited until he had more material until releasing a more complete novel. All in all a very boring read. That said, I’m not giving up on the series yet, I will read the next one, but as of right now I gotta say I don’t have high hopes.

This was advertised as Book 7 of a 7 Book Series. Instead it’s a painfully short prequel to a new series with the same characters. No explanation is provided for why a message was sent calling everyone back to earth when the terraforming process is not complete, and nobody raised the question. No-one thinks to ask the cognitives for an education about the tech or an explanation about the conditions. Instead they treat the cognitives like a glorified Alexa/Cortana/Siri. I’m done with this money pit. I’ve come to detest the TV-series/Charles-Dickens-serial method of selling Kindle books. This is not writing. It’s an income-stream for authors.

I have been following this series for sometime now and have enjoyed every book. The author does an excellent job of follow up from one book to the next and you never loose site of the total story. Very good author and I will continue to read J.N. Chani's books.

This was a great series from book one to book 7. I ended up buying and reading all the books in one week. The author says book 8 comes out this month, would love to know when. The whole series so far has been a lot of fun to read, the characters are fantastic and the plot twists and turns interesting. I HIGHLY recommend these books!!!

Just finished the last book (R Dawn) and now have to wait for at least a month for the next. Can't complain though, it amazes me on how fast you get these books out! Good work!!!
