About the Author

Christopher West is an adjunct professor of the Institute of Priestly Formation in Omaha, and a visiting professor of the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in Melbourne, Australia. Anything by Christopher West is good. Get this for yourself AND your high school or college aged child or godchild before they begin making some big decisions. West really has credibility here as he opens up about some of his own experiences (his openness is a true act of charity). I was raised in an age of do's and don'ts with very little understanding of why. Catholic kids and adults need to understand that when it comes to sexuality they are protecting something very very GOOD ... not avoiding something bad. Misinformation about sex and Catholic sexuality is eveywhere ... read up on the GOOD NEWS! Follow up with any of Gregory Popcaks hilarious and informative books on relationships.

Christopher West did an excellent job making complex theological concepts easier to understand for the average reader. There were some surprising information of the Church's view on sex that I think people need to know. This is a great way to learn about what God's plans were for sex and marriage, and if you take the time to read this book you will realize how beautiful sex and marriage can be. If you are tired of what the world is telling you about sex and marriage, than I highly suggest you read this and learn what the Church says about it.
