It had me feeling a wide range of emotion. Sadness for the two boys who lost out on 10 years together because of lack of communication. Happiness that they find each other again and still feel that magic connection. Hope that they can find a happily ever after. Tingles reading about their sexy times. I was caught up in this book and did not want to put it down.This book is well written with a touching story and relateable, loveable characters. I highly recommend this book to fellow readers.

Lincoln is a member of Downward Spiral. Not just the bands name but what the whole band is doing. With a couple of failed suicide attempts, Lincoln winds up in the hospital after getting drunk and falling asleep in December on his balcony. Not dead this time either, he just wishes he was. The bands manager calls a break, fearing for the whole bands health. Link goes home to Wisconsin to the summer cabin where he fell in love. Back to the place where he was happiest.Jace’s fiancé left him a letter, saying things just weren't right between them and she was done. He loved her, he just wasn't in love with her. He decides to spend Christmas at the lake house. Where his best memories were made. Ready at last to put the past behind him and exorcise his ghost.Two men return to the place where they fell in love as teenagers. Both in pain. One wanting another chance and one not willing to risk his heart again. Their story plays out. An A side and a B side. I have always been partial to B sides.The author always brings a depth to her characters that I appreciate. However, I will now probably forever mentally label things as lube or not lube.

This was a decent effort at depicting a person, in this case Lincoln, with a long-undiagnosed bi-polar condition. Maybe that’s a spoiler but the description of his problems makes it quite obvious early on. I couldn’t quite see how he survived for ten years the way he was depicted or why no one around him pushed harder for him to get help. Information around all that was kind of skimmed over. Jace came around pretty quickly once he reconnects with Lincoln. The author used a lot of flashbacks to show their past, not my favorite device. There’s quite a few sex scenes, not sparking much reaction from me unfortunately and I skimmed a few of those. Its not a badly written book by any means and was easy reading but the narrative style just didn’t engage me enough.

I enjoyed this story, my first by Neuhold. I enjoyed both characters, and because I love YA MM romance, I enjoyed the flashbacks of the two MCs when they were younger. I did have a problem with the transitioning of the story. There's no clear sense of time for the flashbacks. I've no indication when they happened. I get the use of the present vs the past were helpful in identifying the time period, but I found it a little jarring, especially having the POVs shift in the middle of a chapter. It felt like head-hopping. While I'm not fond of the structuring because of this, I enjoyed the story and will read the other books in the series.

And let me tell you, I loved it!!Face the Music, is a heartwarming and at the same time heartbreaking story!Linc is a famous rock God, the lead singer in Downward Spiral. He has money and fame, what more could he want? But nothing is like it seems...behind the smiling and carefree mask, he is numb."His tears took my battered soul and stitched it back together even better than before."It's a story about mental illness and trust, understanding, love and faith!It's beautifully written, fast paced story. And I can't wait to read the next book!!

First things first fantastic job again K.M Neuhold. This books was truly amazing. You took a very hard topic and wrote it so perfectly.I love Lincoln and Jace. Their love proves that no matter how far apart and how long apart you are if its ment to be you will be together. Lincoln suffering from bipolar disorder, depression and self harm makes a really hard life for him. I was afraid to read this a first. Its hard to write about mental, llness and get it right. But K.M nailed it in my opinion. I felt like she described the emotions and reactions perfectly. It hit home to me. Jace gave Lincoln a second chance and its what Lincoln needed to help him get his illness under control. Love does that. When its with the right person love helps mend those wounds and clearly they love these two share is true love. I'm glad they found each other again. And now I wait patiently to read about the rest of the band.
